Bill Rancic beat easily beat Kwame Jackson to become The Donald's Apprentice. Trump said that Kwame should have fired Omarosa for lying, and he also faulted Kwame for picking Omarosa as his second pick, knowing how flaky she was. Trump was impressed with Bill's performance in running the golf tournament, and he picked Bill over Kwame. Bill won a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster and a $250,000 per year job as the head of construction for a new 90-story Trump International Hotel in Chicago. Now, Bill can remain in his home town of Chicago, and continue his relationship with Jen Schefft, Andrew Firestone's former fiancee.
Amy, Bill, Kwame, and Nick had all day interview sessions with four of Trump's advisors. Each were subjected to tough questions. After the interview sessions, the advisors met with Trump and discussed who should be fired. They were very clear about who they liked and who they didn't like. After deliberation; Amy, Bill, Kwame, and Nick were called to the Board Room to hear the decison. The Board Room became very heated, Trump even had a slight blow up towards George for interrupting. Nick was fired first, then Amy received her bad news. The next day, Bill and Kwame were given their final tasks. Both would oversee all the details in two huge events. Bill was in charge of the Chrysler Trump Golf Tournament at Briarcliff Manor and Kwame was responsible for the Jessica Simpson concert at the Taj Mahal. Both men had the opportunity to choose members for their staff. They were surprised to see fellow teammates return. Kwame chose Troy, Omarosa and Heidi. Bill chose Amy, Katrina, and Nick. Next, Bill and Kwame were given the VIP treatment and were chauffered to their destinations. Their "employees" followed in an SUV. Suspiciously, each man was faced to deal with an unexpected problem. Kwame's issue: During dinner, Omarosa received a phone call from Diane, the woman in charge of transportation. She reminded Omarosa to coordinate transportation for Jessica Simpson and her band. When Omarosa came back to the table, Troy and the others asked her about the phone call but Omarosa refused to tell them anything. Troy raised an eyebrow but surprisingly Kwame didn't seem too concerned. The next day, Diane informed Kwame that there were some unresolved issues. Kwame questioned Omarosa and wanted to know what happened. Omarosa lied about the phone call she received. Later the team is unable to locate Jessica Simpson. Bill's issue: Back at Briarcliff Manor, Bill was faced with a storage problem. The inventory was placed in a Model Home without Management approval and had to be moved. A decision was made to move the goodie bag inventory into the office. Dozens of boxes and golf clubs/bags arrived, it didn't take long before the room was completely filled. Bill was not too concerned. Next week, the Finale. Bill or Kwame will be named The Apprentice.
This week, the challenge was to rent the Trump World Tower Penthouse for one night. They only had eight hours to complete the challenge. Protégé had the advantage, since the outnumbered Versacorp, three to two. Troy was made Project Manager for Protégé, and Troy, Bill and Kwame immediately starting calling event planners and setting up walk throughs. Troy, Bill and Kwame seemed to be showing the place more than Amy and Nick, and they also seemed to have more interested renters. However, in the end, Amy and Nick got lucky. With about five minutes left, a renter showed up and signed a contract for $40,800 for a single night. Troy, Bill and Kwame were able to negotiate a $35,001 contract. Troy decided to take Kwame with him into the Board Room. Trump decided to get rid of high school educated, Troy, over the Harvard MBA, Kwame. Troy was labeled as a loose cannon, but I just think that they were looking for an excuse to keep Kwame over Troy.
The task was to sign-up gamblers at Trump’s casino in Atlantic City. The teams were to promote something, get the gambler’s to sign up, and the team with the roster of gamblers who lost the most money would win. Protégé evened up the team by adopting Bill, and Protégé was able to sign up about 770 gamblers for a chance to win $1000. However, they focused on the high rollers. So, Protégé’s roster earned $130,000 for the casino. On the other hand, Versacorp was able to sign up about 1300 gamblers for a $300 car rental. But, their roster only lost about $105,000. So, Bill, Troy and Kwame were victorious. Amy, Katrina and Nick were sent to the Board Room. As project manager, Amy spared Nick, so Amy and Katrina faced Trump. In the end, Trump said that Amy had performed better overall, and Katrina was sent to the street.
NBC has a winner in the Apprentice, and the president of NBC Entertainment says it's a "total game changer." Not only does it draw 20 million viewers, each week, but it also pulls in more high-income viewers than any other series. Mark Burnett is now the most sought after producer of reality shows. Survivor All Stars is also fairing quite well with 23.22 million for episode six. Last week, Survivor won the 8:00-8:30 PM half-hour in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
Although Omarosa Manigault Stallworth did an OK job for Protégé selling art, nevertheless, Trump had enough of her and took the opportunity to fire Omarosa. The Protégé team was led by Kwame Jackson, and the team decided to try to sell the art works of a radical, but high-priced artist. Versacorp chose a more conservative artist, and Versacorp creamed Protégé ($8000 versus $800 for Protégé). Kwame admitted that he took a gamble, but he took Omarosa and Heidi with him in the Board Room. Trump said that Omarosa was not getting along very well with her teammates and that he was tired of hearing her constant excuses. Omarosa said that she had been working with a concussion, which was causing her constant headaches, but Trump challenged this assertion and reminded her that she was hit with a small piece of plaster. Trump used a fight between Omarosa and Heidi to take offense at Omarosa and fire her.
VersaCorp suffered a defeat, as Ereka Vetrini was elected Project Manager, and went up against the street smart, country boy, Troy McClain. The task was to sell Trump Ice. No, it is not beer; it’s bottle water. Troy did well with the distributors, selling flats of bottled water and perhaps even truck loads. VersaCorp did a little better with the restaurants and bars, but VersaCorp was soundly defeated. Ereka took the two men into the Board Room with her, letting her friend, Katrina Campins, take a pass. Nick Warnock was her target, but Trump asked Bill Rancic who he would fire. Bill said, “Ereka.” Ereka blamed Nick for not being a better salesman and for not completing his paperwork to get the orders approved. Trump agreed that Nick was a shitty salesman, but he fired Ereka because she was too emotional. The men got the best of her in the Board Room.
