Residents of Newport Rhode Island are not happy that Bunim Murrary productions could be bringing their challenge to a Newport mansion located on 533 Belluve Ave. The residents feel that the party atmosphere that MTV promotes is not condusive to the town. Coucil Members will vote tonight.

A parody of The Real World written and directed by Norman Korpi, a cast member from the first season of the show, is on DVD today. The Wedding Video follows co-writer and director Clint Cowen's efforts to document Norman's fictional wedding, which is attended by Norman's friends, many of whom aren't even aware he's getting married to a man. The cast features nine other former Real World cast members who play themselves, or parodies of themselves, as they never mention the show. But they play up their personas and mock themselves and the show at the same time. If anyone watched the Real World/Road Rules Challenge where LA Beth and Norm were arguing and she said he stole her idea. This is the video they were fighting about. Any hard core Real Worlder will need to have this in their collection

In last night's final episode of the Battle of Sexes, the men beat the women by a slim margin: taking home not only the $150,000 Chili's cash, but also a Saturn Ion. The women had a fabulous lead finishing the block puzzle well ahead of the men. The men, however, decided to take the womens blocks and copy exactly what they had done. The closed the gap on the obstacle portion of the race and finished ahead of the girls. Next week they will have a cast wrap-up reunion special in the Battle of teh Sexes time slot.

From www.extratv.com 'Real World: Las Vegas' They've been steaming up MTV’s "Real World: Las Vegas." Now former roommates Irulan and Arissa are back in MTV’s Palms hotel suite posing in their old home for Unleashed magazine. They’re talking about the show scandal that cost the Palms' marketing manager his job. Marc Portugal was sacked after getting in the sack with Arissa and Irulan, who were working for him in the hotel nightclub. Irulan says, "He said a lot of things that bosses should never say or do … I think he did cross the line a little bit with Arissa, that's where he made his error. In terms of me, I think he's a good guy." Cast members say this is the raciest "Real World" ever, with the sometimes-raunchy roommates very inventive in staying out of camera range. A favorite refuge, "Extra" learned was, the confessional room. Arissa says, "A lot of people used this room for sex."

Last year, Frank Roessler, 22, of Lewisburg, Pa., pleaded guilty last year to criminal mischief after breaking into two fraternity houses at Bucknell University and damaging bathrooms inside them. Frank along with an accomplice broke windows and toilets in each frat house and smash a door in one. Upon entering one house, police also found "two fresh piles of feces." Frank was sentenced to two years of probation in June 2001, fined $1,000 and ordered to split $1,000 in restitution to the university with his co-defendant.
