In a story dated February 1, 2003, newindpress.com reported that The Amazing Race 4 currently is filming in Kerala State, which is on the southwest coast of India. The story reports that filming already has occurred in other India locations, including Bombay, and that the show has seven teams of two persons each. This suggests that filming is about half completed. Contestant activities include "a traditional bull race, carrying bundles of coir on elephants, riding a cycle rickshaw with chicken crates, and a night on a rice boat" Local officials hope for a tourism boost from TAR 4's presence there. Because it is winter in the northern hemisphere, TAR 4 locations are more likely be in the summer hemisphere (as those for TAR 2 were) rather than in Europe or other northern areas.

Although many hate Flo due to her incessant whining, nevertheless, Flo & Zach edge out Teri & Ian and Ken & Gerard for the $1 million grand prize. At the beginning of the two-hour final show, Teri & Ian were in the lead, and by the mid-point of the last leg, they were still in the lead. But in the end, Flo and Zach, who were trailing, jumped ahead of the other two teams to win the race. It all came down to a cab ride to the finish line. Teri & Ian came in second. Ken & Gerard finished third.

Ken & Gerard are still in the lead. Ken, a freelance casting director in New York City, and Gerard, a financial consultant in New Jersey, are the odd couple brother Team. Michael & Kathy are eliminated, after they added unleaded gas to a diesel-fueled car.

Ken & Gerard are currently the front runners. Ken, the gay guy, and Gerard found a pay phone and managee to book plane tickets.

Currently, CBS has an open casting call for the Amazing Race 4. The fourth installment will feature 12 pairs of American couples who race each other to exotic locations around the globe. The winning team wins a $1 million prize. Contestants will be selected to represent a broad cross-section of American society.
