The Osbournes Sound Off On Jack
Posted by becky578 on 2003-07-16

How did reality TV boy Jack Osbourne, 17, end up checking himself into drug rehab at such an early age? The oddity of constantly living in the spotlight is likely part of it. (As previously reported, MTV has ordered a 20-episode third season of The Osbournes, premiering in early 2004.) And hey, even the kid's parents admit they hardly set the finest example. Recently, on their separate publicity stops at TCA — to promote Osbournes and Sharon's daytime talk show, respectively — Mr. and Mrs. Ozzy talked about Jack's troubles. Read more at Iwon

Ozzy gets healthy, running 9-minute miles

According to the National Enquirer, Ozzy has transformed himself into a health nut. The 54-year-old rocker has now substituted the "natural high" of jobbing and working out for booze and drugs. Ozzy started jogging to get away from the cameras. Now, he claims to have lost 30 pounds in the last year and is running 9-minute miles. The new health-conscious Ozzy eats about eight times a day -- but in much smaller portions. Ozzy has given up starches, and eats mostly protein. He says, "My diet consists of nonfat cottage cheese, fruit and turkey. Instead of having breakfast, lunch and dinner, I'll have a bit of protein in the morning, then I'll have a protein shake about noon. And then at 2 p.m. I'll have some turkey.” Currently, Ozzy is drug free and healthier than ever.

Kelly doesn't like Christina, but Jack was star struck when Christina introduced herself at a local bar. In the second episode, Jack celebrates his 17th birthday with a family outing to Medieval Times. After this season, the Osbournes have vowed “NO MORE.”
