October 16: Darin
and Melissa take home the grand prize--$100,000
each and a trip around the world.
In the final vote, the remaining contestants voted on three
couples: (1) Darin and Melissa, (2) Adrian and Gina and
(3) Michael and Jeanette. Darin and Melissa were tied with
Adrian and Gina--each had five votes. So, it was up to Michael
and Jeanette to break the tie. By the way, Michael and Jeanette
did not receive a single vote. Both Michael and Jeanette
chose Darin and Melissa to be the grand prize winners.
Anthony was a key player in the final episode. First, he
turned Toni and Andrea against Jeanette. Anthony told Toni
that Jeannette said, "Toni tried to bribe me with $20,000
to let her win." Toni blew up at Jeanette. Next, Anthony
tried to expose Melissa by confronting her with the fact
that she has a boyfriend back home in Chicago. "Who
will you take on your trip around the world? Darin or your
boyfriend?" Melissa blew up at Anthony, and said, "I
don't want to win." In the end, Melissa said that she
would take Darin on her trip around the world.
October 9: Ralph
and Toni were the two voted off the boat. Ralph
was shocked that the girls chose to get rid of him. Toni
had offered herself as a sacrifice so that Jeanette could
stay on the boat, so she was not as shocked. Melissa held
the switch card, but Toni urged her not to use it. Melissa
did not use it.
Next, there was a final competition, and Anthony
and Tomiko were given the boot when they lost.
The four winners (Darin, Melissa, Michael and Jeanette)
were given the opportunity to draw for two switch cards.
Darin and Jeanette are
now the holders of the switch cards. Both of them will have
to opportunity to switch their partners for another--Darin
will decide whether or not to keep Melissa, and Jeanette
will decide whether or not to keep Michael.
Jeanette seems like
the favorite to win. However, Anthony dropped a bomb as
the show ended and tried to turn Toni against Jeanette.
There are plans to bring one more couple back into the finals
from the banished group.
October 8: Andrea
is gone. Everyone was given the opportunity to
switch their partner with one of the exiled. No one wanted
to switch, except for Michael. Michael switched Andrea for
Jeanette. So, Jeanette is back.
Andrea was angry, and everyone turned on Michael for the
switch and for being so ruthless in playing the game. Jeanette
brought some interesting news from the island. Everyone
on the island wants Andrea and Anthony off the boat. Jeanette's
mission is to get Anthony kicked off.
October 2: Adrian
and Lisa are the latest
to get the boot on Love Cruise.
Adrian gave it one last
try to stay on the boat. After the girls voted to kick him
off, he told everyone, "I love you guys." However,
his own teammate Toni, who held the switch card, did not
save him.
Lisa started trying
to manipulate the guys like she had been doing the girls.
However, it backfired on her. Despite turning on the tears
and doing everything that she could think of to save herself,
the guys voted unanimously to give her the boot.
