Synopsis: Twelve
house mates compete for $500,000 in cash. With 38 cameras
and 62 microphones that record their every move, 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week, they are like rats in a cage. The
game is played in the following way. Each week, one person
is elected Head of House (or HOH). The HOH nominates two
house guests, each week, to leave the house. Then, a few
days later, the nominated house members are put to a vote
by the other house members. The house member receiving the
most votes leaves the house. The last three remaining in
the house are subjected to a final vote by the evicted house
guests, and the winner takes home $500,000. Last year, the
second runner up got $100,000, and the third runner up got
$50,000. This year, it is unclear how much the second runner
up will get. But, the third runner up will not get any prize
money. Big Brother 2 is expected to run until mid-September.
