Mike Malin is originally from Concord, New Hampshire, but when he is not living in the Big Brother house, you will find him in Hollywood, next to the CBS studios. And according to a friend of his, he has "a beautiful condo... and his bar is one of the hottest new spots" in West Hollywood.

Mike is a former television executive. But now, he is the co-owner of Belly, a trendy restaurant-bar located at 7929 Santa Monica Blvd, near Fairfax. Lonnie Moore, an actor, is the co-owner

Belly is a "Tapas" lounge. Tapas are those small plates of food found in bars in Spain. According to the LA Times, Belly is their first restaurant, but Mike and Lonnie knew they wanted to offer 20-somethings a less expensive dining and drinking option. They also saw the popularity of tapas in Chicago and Austin. Says Moore, "I think its a fun food. . . it promotes sharing and groups." Belly is open
from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. nightly.

Belly has a D.J. spinning records, and it is designed for the younger croud--cheap food, cheap drinks. One reviewer for the LA Times wrote, "Hot diggity dang, if Belly isn't the booty call bar du jour. The new tapas bar on Santa Monica Boulevard has been packed to the rafters since it opened last month, and I think it has something to do with the fact that its owners (two ex-TV execs) are young, hot and single. Ba-bam..."
