On
Monday, July 2, Kathy Blackwelder, wife of 46-year-old,
father of two, Kent, called the Ace and TJ radio show
to talk about the Big Brother 2 show.
She
revealed some interesting information. First, she spoke
to Kent for the last time on Thursday, June 28. She said
that they will probably not speak again until Kent leaves
the show. Second, she said that the house guests entered
the house on Sunday, July 1. In other words, it was her
understanding that the contest would begin on Sunday,
July 1, well ahead of the season premiere on July 5.
Last
year, the premiere was a live show, and the house guests
entered the house on the same night as the live show.
Also, the live Internet feeds started on the same night.
This year, there are some marked differences. First, the
house guests entered the house five days ahead of the
season premiere. Second, the free live video feeds will
start the evening of Thursday July 5, but the free live
video feeds will be shut off on the evening of Sunday
July 8. If Internet viewers wish to watch the heavily
censored live feeds, they will have to purchase a subscription
for $20. There is a petition to boycott
the live feeds.
Kathy
said that the producers are not telling her what their
plans are in terms of TV appearances and such. The producers
are intentionally trying to keep information from leaking
to the press so they are withholding information and details
from the family members. The producers did promise to
call Kathy once the show aired to give her more details.
When
asked, "Is there one thing that Kent does that will
get on everyone nerves?" Kathy responded that he
talks a lot. Her parting advice to Kent was, "Don't
talk too much."
