Shannon
On an interstate highway near Colorado Springs, Colo.,
on Sept. 18, 1998, Shannon was barreling down the interstate
at approx. 85 mph, when she sideswiped a van and lost
control of her Ford Expedition. The Expedition started
to roll, rolled across the median and rolled over an oncoming

killing Mr. LaSalle instantly. Shannon fractured her pelvis
and broke her left arm. There was no evidence of drugs
or alcohol in her bloodstream, but Shannon was found guilty
of causing LaSalle's death and ordered to pay a $1,000
