Bachelorettes in Alaska News

July 7, The final show: Well, the results are in, and here is how it stacked up. Karen, 36, with a Dowry of $8,000 has been with the same guy from day one, Kurt, 29. But, Kurt leaves Karen standing in the snow--she was robbing the cradle with Kurt.

Of course, Andrea, 34, picks Kristian, 29. But, the big surprise was the Kristian showed up. He did not exactly get down on one knee and propose marriage, but he did say "I want to see more of you" and that he was ready to take the next step.

Rebekah, 27, received seven please and had a dowry of $23,000. But, Jason, 26, left her standing in the snow.

Cecile, 26, had a total dowry of $16,000. She chose Will, 29. But, Will did not show up. The big surprise was the Tim, 24, showed up in his place. Tim ate crow, and said that he made a mistake. It was rather touching as Tim begged for forgiveness. Cecile agreed to give Tim a second chance.

Sissie, 31, had been with Brent, 31, from the beginning. With a dowry of $9,000, she greets Brent on the snow. Brent has a few questions for Sissie. Will you move to Alaska? Can I meet your parents? Then, he asks Sissie to marry him. Sissie says, "Yes."

Finally, a month or so after the filming, Karen has had no further contact with Kurt, and Rebekah has not seen Jason. Tim did visit Cecile in California, but they did not get along when the cameras were turned off--they went their separate ways. Andrea and Kristian are trying to do a long-distance relationship--Andrea did not move to Alaska. The only relationship that seemed to work out is Sissie and Brent--Sissie moved to Alaska to be with Brent.

June 30: Day 17 & 18: As the show comes to a close--there is just one episode left--all of the men were brought back for a final time. All 20 men and the five women sat down for an Alaskan Dinner. Words were exchanged by some of the rejected men with the present Men on Ice. The next day, the women were told that they would get a chance to select another man from the rejected group, so that they will each have two men. But, first they had to compete. Andrea, Cecile and Karen won the games (fish tossing, shooting and so on), but Andrea came out the big winner. Andrea would be allowed to chose any man.

Andrea chooses Keith, not Patrick. It seems that Andrea is head over heals in love with Kristian, and Patrick would have been a threat. So, she chooses the mild mannered gentleman, Keith. Then, all of the men are invited to line up behind the woman of their choice, and the women will get to choose whomever is in their line. Karen chooses Mike. Cecile was planning on choosing Tim, but Tim lines up behind Rebekah. Rebekah chooses Tim, and Cecile chooses Mike. Sissie chooses Thaddeus. So, now each woman has two men who will fight over them.

Next week, each woman will have to choose a man to marry, and then the men can either accept their choice or leave the woman standing at the alter.

June 23: The biggest surprise is that Kristian slammed Andrea again, by telling everyone that he does not think that his relationship with Andrea is going anywhere. And, even though Keith pled to Andrea, she chose to stay with Kristian. Andrea needs to wake up.

Two men pled to Rebekah, but she chose to stay with Jason. Rebekah continues to dominate the money earnings with the most pleas--she has got $23,000 in the bank.

The only change came from Cecile. Last week, she traded in Tim for a new Tim. But, the new Tim did not have very well developed social skills. So, Cecile dumped the new Tim for Will.

Karen sticks with Kurt, and Sissie stays with Brent.

Next week, they bring back all of the previously tossed guys.

June 16: Tim reveals to the other Men on Ice that he is not attracted to Cecile, and then during a truth game, he reveals it to Cecile. Cecile gets angry. Cecile says goodbye to the old Tim and hello to the new one.

Bob pleas to Karen, bringing her dowry to $7,000. Terence pleas to Sissie, bringing her Dowry to $9,000. The new Tim pleas to Cecile, giving her $13,000 in her dowry. Doug chose not to plea to Karen or any of the other girls because he felt he did not have a connection with any of them.

Karen decides to stick with Kurt, and Sissie stays with Brent. Andrea sticks with Kristian again, despite his statements of disinterest. Rebekah stays with Jason, since no one pleas to her.

June 9: Rebekah continues to earn the most money with another two proposals (her fifth and sixth proposals), and again, she trades in her man on ice for a new man, Jason.

Andrea receives her first plea. Patrick asks her to choose him, but Andrea stays with Christian, even though Christian told her, "I don't think that we have a future together, long-term."

Cecile gets a second plea, this one from Jeff, but she is not interested. Jeff was not much of a temptation, and Cecile was put off when he kissed her, after only knowing her for three hours.

Sissie and Karen continue with their Men on Ice. Sissie and Karen do not seem to be getting much action.

June 2: Well, all of the men seem to be taken with Rebekah. Rebekah is very outgoing and flirts with all of the guys. By the end of the show, three men (Troy, Matt and Jack) plea to Rebekah to choose them. Sissie and Karen's dates (Matt and Jack) both plea to Rebekah. And Rebekah trades in her Man on Ice for Jack.

Even though Thaddeus goes out with Andrea, in the end, he pleas to Cecile--Cecile was the odd woman out, not being chosen by any of the men for a date. But, Cecile stays with her Man on Ice, Brent.

Andrea, Sissie and Karen continue with their Men on Ice.
