Jackass John Saved By Last Minute Switch, Windy City Savage Sent Home.

All I can say is “WHY is this moron still here!!!” How I wish that Drake would have stuck with their original plan and sent that curly haired freak packing.

This episode we saw the revival of two outcast Survivors, Lillian and Burton after winning last week’s challenge. They were voted on by their “Outcast Piers” the others showing sportsman ship and camaraderie over personal gains. I was very impressed with how gracious and complimentary the outcast tribe was of one another. Of course, having as many days as they have had together in a non-competitive atmosphere I’m sure brought together a special bond that proved advantageous over the other tribes. Perhaps the Survivors should take a lesson from the Outcasts and play in the name of friendship instead of the constant backstabbing that seems to be running rampant amongst the survivor parts. On second thought, scratch that. A land of rainbows and sunshine would not be half as interesting as all of the dysfunction amongst the tribe members.

After the Lil and Burton were re-integrated to their original tribes, Drake welcoming Burton with semi-open arms and Morgan grudgingly welcoming Lil back, some old wounds were reopened and some were healed. It took a lot for Rupert to go to Burton and explain to him his feelings about why he voted Burton out. Telling him that Burton’s constant ridicule flashed Rupert back to his adolescence and a time when he was the butt of the cooler kids’ jokes. Burton and Rupert talked things out, made up and established a new immunity to take John out.

On the Morgan side, Lil rehashes the hurt and betrayal brought about by her exit, and there was no resolutions to be found. Thus, leaving Lil feeling outcast all over again.

Much to everyone’s surprise, the trek to Immunity brought about the merge as well. The new Balboa tribe sports Black buffs, and is stationed on the well fed, and well stocked, Drake Beach.

Immunity consisted of an underwater swim along a tow line, requiring the Survivors to hold their breaths while pulling themselves underwater. They were chosen at random to compete in groups of five. The top two winners from each round, then competed against each other. I can’t say that any one Survivor was weaker than the others, with the Exception of Sandra, whose clothes I feel caused her unneeded tow and slowed her down immensely. The winners of the first heat, Burton and Rupert faced off against the winners of the second heat, Jon and Ryan O. Burton took immunity, beating Rupert by a fraction of a second. Of course, he did not need to win immunity as he already was granted immunity as part of his revival in the Survivor game. I think that Burton won immunity to send a message to everyone that he was capable and deserving of his second chance. Message received.

Back at the now merged camp, a feast was laid out for all to partake in. Of course, food was not the only feast, as the vultures on both sides were looking for their next Tribal Council prey. Andrew and the remains of the Morgan tribe had their eyes set on Jon, and succeeded in falsely raising my hopes, as Drake was also plotting to take Jon out. I’m not sure when the winds changed for Drake and suddenly Andrew was the target instead. I believe the switch happened after Rupert discovered just how influential Andrew could be, when attempting to swing Li’s vote. To which she kindly told him “ Remember when I asked you to let me know which way you voted, and you told me you’d get back to me” Ha ha! Talk about Poetic Justice!

At tribal council, Idiot Jon displays his arrogance once again when voting by sporting a “Macho Man Randy Savage” imitation. While Burton, decides to pass immunity off to Rupert, showing class and dedication to his tribe and his alliance. The only satisfaction I did gain was watching as that snide smirk slowly vote by vote turned into a frown. As the margin was only one vote. Too bad Lil held such resentment for Andrew and her tribe, or else I finally would have seen my nemesis voted off.

Next week, it looks as though I may have wasted my admiration on Burton, as it appears as though he breaks his alliance with Rupert and goes to the dark side and joins forces with Jackass Jon. Ooh I hope not!!
