"Resurrection....Reintegration.....Revenge"

On an appropriately dark and stormy tropical night, full of lightning, thunder, rain and foreboding, two Outcasts returned to their original tribes and to two very different welcomes.
Lillian and Burton got voted back in by their fellow Outcasts after giving the best two “Why I Should Go Back In” speeches, especially so since Jeff Probst told them “Vote for 2 people and don’t vote for yourself.” Both went back with immunity for one Tribal Council which would give them the chance to “reintegrate” according to Jeff.
It was only the luck of the draw that decided that Lillian and Burton would each go back to their original tribe. While both Drakes and Morgans were highly suspicious of the returnees’ attitudes, Drake welcomed Burton back with almost open arms, due to his strength which Rupert said “pumped Drake back up”.
Burton was immediately enlisted to get rid of Jon whom every Drake has come to distrust. For his part, Burton said that the past was “water under the bridge”.
Not so Lillian’s “welcome” back to Morgan. Both sides remained intensely suspicious of the other. To her face, Andrew described Lillian’s return as a “curve ball” to be dealt with and that if they went to Tribal Council “one of us four would be voted out because you have immunity.” In private, Andrew said he was wondering “Why, on Day 20, is Lill here?” He might have also recalled that when she was first evicted by him and his alliance, Lillian’s torch was very hard to put out. Talk about an omen!
Right to be wary, Lillian couldn’t help but notice the “us/you” dynamic. After being away from the Morgan Tribe for 9 days, she observed that they need “serious help”, had “no energy” and were becoming “dead weight”.
Indeed, right after Lillian’s arrival, Morgan ate the last of its rice and ran out of food changing their situation “from critical to dire” in Andrew’s words. Now let’s see, guys, where is that fish spear that Rupert taught Ryan to use? The Morgan tribe has my vote for the worst Survivor tribe ever and that’s saying a lot.
Fortunately for Morgan’s impending famine, a merge of the two tribes occurred right away and the tribal immunity skeleton was replaced with an individual immunity sword-in-a-scabbard. A 2-part swimming lap contest ensued which saw Rupert, Burton, Jon and Ryan as the 4 finalists. Even Lillian beat Andrew’s time.
Burton won with Rupert a very close second. At Tribal Council, Burton could thus assign this “swimming” immunity to someone else while still keeping safe with his “Outcast” immunity.
Drakes and Morgans now became one, the Balboa tribe, pleasing Rupert no end since that was the also the name of his deceased snake. Both Morgans and Drakes were 5 members each but such equality was very deceiving as there were deep fissures on within both original tribes.
Had the tribes remained unmerged and Drake lost, they had intended to get rid of Jon. Jon was also the target of the Morgan tribe who has long despised Jon for his arrogance and “smack talk.”
But the merger changed everything. Lillian’s estrangement from the other Morgans was almost complete and she was ever-so-ready to listen to the soothing siren songs coming from the Drakes, especially when she received personal assurances from her fellow Outcast buddy, Burton.
The 4 Morgans noted Lillian’s talks with the Drakes with growing uneasiness and Andrew finally approached her, seeking her continued loyalty so Morgan would be even with Drake at the Tribal Council.
She left Andrew speechless when she said he could not assure her he would not vote her out, again, over the other 3 Morgans. And why, Lillian pointedly asked should she inform Andrew of how she intended to vote when he had not given her the same courtesy when she was in fact voted off.
At the first Balboa Tribal Council, Burton handed over his “swimming” immunity to a delighted Rupert, who along with Burton and Lillian were safe from being voted off this time.
The Morgan 4 all voted against Jon while Lillian joined with the Drakes to send Andrew packing in a 6-4 vote. The 9 remaining Survivors left now will either be one of the two finalists or on the jury.
Previews next week show Christa complaining about the Morgans being lazy and Tijuana saying that the Drakes work more than is necessary. The situation is very ripe for intrigue.
Lillian has strong ties to Jon, whom she first confided in about the Morgan 4 hating her, information he promptly took to Rupert and which probably saved him. Lillian also has strong Outcast ties with Burton. If Lillian can also cast herself as the saviour for the greatly outnumbered Morgan 3 of Ryan, Tijuana and Darrah, she could possibly become the Queen Bee Survivor of a very powerful 6-way alliance, all having only her friendship in common. Time will tell the tale…….
