What a great episode! I am so completely impressed with Tambaquai. Even though I still feel Heidi sealed her own fate by voting off Jeanne last episode, their team work this week was incredible! Christy has truly found her strength! She is a strong and amazing person, and I was thrilled to see her succeed!
When Tambaquai came back from tribal council and told Christy they felt she had assets they felt would benefit the group, I have never seen anyone smile so large in television history. I think it was at that moment that Christy realized “YES I CAN!” And kicked some major rear.
At the reward challenge; a challenge for fruit and seasonings, members of the opposing teams log rolled for the reward. I honestly felt that Jaburu had this one in the bag! I felt with all the youth they had on their team, coupled with the 2 pretty skinny girls who I am SURE were cheerleaders at one time in their life; would have absolutely no problems keeping their balance on a moving log. However, it was Christy who pulled out the win for Tambaquai, defeating head pretty girl, Jenna. Revenge couldn’t have been sweeter for Christy!
I am still cringing from the reward challenge! I knew in previous seasons, that as a vegetarian I would not last in this game; last night’s challenge only confirmed my conclusions. How could anyone just have at it with a side of beef like that? Both teams worked very well together to rip, gnaw, and tear flanks of seared flesh from a side of some poor dead animal. Eventually, it was Tambaquai who got into a rhythm with their ripping. Their team work, one member holding the bone with their neck and head, as the others ripped pieces off; ended up winning them the challenge. I’m sure also Rodger enjoyed putting his tongue in Heidi’s mouth, even if it was “just to get a piece of meat out of her mouth”
Tambaquai wins, Jaburu goes to tribal council. Shawna, in a team meeting before heading off to tribal council, informs her tribe mates to take her out over the other girls because she is weaker. Those who were Shawna supporters inform the group of their intent to vote Matt off. I am so glad that Matt is staying because I feel he is an asset to the tribe, and hopefully everyone will realize how much the quiet one actually does!
Jaburu goes to Tribal Council where Shawna reveals she has done a complete 180 and is in it for the long haul. Maybe it was her, and not Deena that got biffed on the side of the head with the side of meat. She must be hallucinating because the Shawna I saw in the episode is still as lazy and useless and she has been in previous ones. The Survivors go to vote, and Shawna goes. What surprised me most was that Jenna voted for Shawna. What is with that!?! I thought the pretty girls had an alliance together! The tribal dynamic should be very interesting these next few weeks. I am anxious to see how the lack of Shawna plays out with Alex, and to see now, how Jealous Jenna and Alpha Female Deanna fare now that their third is out. Until next week, the princess has spoken.
