Update on Ozzy Osbourne
Posted by sally_s on 2003-12-29 |
Perhaps Ozzy should have recorded, "Take It To The Limits" instead of the Eagles....
Osbourne, 55, broke several ribs, fractured his collarbone and suffered a broken vertebra in his neck while driving around his country estate in southern England three weeks ago in his all-terrain vehicle. “His security guard Sam had to revive him twice because he wasn’t breathing and there was no pulse.”
After being in Intensive Care with breathing aided by a ventilator, Ozzy has been moved to a private clinic to recuperate from his injuries. Recovery time is estimated at six months. Rumor has it that he has already asked two nurses for their hand in marriage.
Osbourne, 55, was in England promoting "Changes," a new duet with daughter Kelly. The old Black Sabbath tune debuted at the Number One spot on the British charts last week, a first for the aging rock star.
His son Louis, by his first marriage, is getting married in the U.S. on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, Ozzy will miss the wedding.
What is next for the Outrageous Ozzy? He was voted Rock Personality of the Year in a poll of music fans, coming in ahead of Justin Hawkins, frontman with The Darkness, and Bono, lead singer for U2, who came in third. It is reported that Osbourne is writing a rock opera about Siberian mystic Rasputin. Osbourne says he relates to the eccentric monk, who influenced the tragic Russian royals Czar Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra.
And the beat goes on....
