I’ve been debating on whether or not to write about my first impressions about the show itself all morning, but I’ve decided to discuss the hamsters instead. My cynicism is best taken in short bursts anyway. I guess we’ll go CBS style and do it alphabetically.
Alison – There is seriously something wrong with this girl. With the way she flipped out when she found out her ex might be showing up you’d think he was the devil himself. I think she’s afraid that he’ll tell them all just how much of a freak she is (too late).
I predict that the others will get tired of her drama queen attitude and oust her before the halfway mark.
Amanda – Maybe my memory isn’t so good but has she spoken yet? She seems nice I suppose, perhaps a little too quiet though?
I predict that she’ll either be the first to go, or if her ex (Scott) keeps annoying everyone the others might keep her to spite him. Even if that happens I don’t think she’ll go much further.
Dana – Little miss attitude. I don’t like her one bit; she’s a snooty judgmental cow IMO.
I predict that her attitude will get on the others nerves real quickly. She’ll maybe make it just past the halfway point if she’s lucky, but I’m hoping she’s one of the first to go.
David – At first he seemed like the class clown, but I think there’s more going on upstairs than he would lead us to believe. I think he’s smarter than he lets on as well, and it’s a pretty good strategy. He’s funny, gets along well with the other houseguests (for now anyway), and was only perceived as a threat in the beginning when it was made aware that he was a former army ranger.
I predict that he’ll go far, at least top five.
Erika – One of the last people there that should be trying to fly under the radar but is going for it anyway. She claims to be always playing the game, but if she doesn’t start making some allies and quick the game will play her.
Certainly has the ability to go far in this game, but I predict she won’t be around too long if she doesn’t smarten up.
Jack – Automatically put himself at a disadvantage by revealing the fact that he was in the FBI for thirty years. That instantly made him a target but he seems to be quietly putting a game plan together. How well that game plan works remains to be seen.
I predict the best of him is yet to come, but I’m not convinced he has what it takes to go far in this game.
Jee – Woe is Jee. The sympathy card has been played way too often and way too early with this guy.
I predict he’ll be one of the first to go.
Jun – Oh for the love of God make her stop! The dementia and delusion of this girl is mind boggling!
If there’s any justice in this world she’ll be one of the first to go, however, she does seem to be a pretty good schemer so I predict she’ll be here a while (unfortunately).
Justin – Quiet, but not too quiet. Nice, but not too nice. He’s at a disadvantage being one of the exes but has been pretty slick thus far and it appears as though he has come to play. Might be a giving a little too much focus to his ex though.
I still predict that he’ll go pretty far.
Michelle – One of my fellow RTVPers referred to her as “a deer caught in the headlights”, I think that’s a pretty good assessment. I don’t think she even shows up on the radar, which would work to her advantage if she knew how to do so.
I predict the others will evict her when it’s convenient for them.
Nathan – One minute I think he’s playing the best game out of anyone, the next I think he’s being led around by ‘little Nathan’. Perhaps that’s part of his strategy, but I think it’s too soon to tell with this guy.
Despite that I still predict he’ll go far in this game.
Robert – How the hell did he get a girl like Erika, first of all, and secondly how stupid would he have to be to cheat on a girl like Erika?? Moron! Still, it’s obvious he’s there to play the game and has been doing a pretty good job so far.
I predict he’ll go far in this game, possibly top two.
Scott – Can you say psycho? He’s already getting on the other houseguests nerves and mine too.
I predict he’ll be one of the first to go.
So there you have it, my thoughts and predictions. Perhaps it’s a little too early to accurately predict who will go and when, as we’ve been told countless times already, “expect the unexpected” and with how quickly strategies and alliances can change in this game it certainly rings true.
