The final Bonfire
The last show is about the couples reflecting on their experience and about their decisions whether to stay with their partners or to break up. It seems that each one worked on their speech, memorized it and presented it at the final bonfire.

Kelly & Mark
Mark speaks first. He says that he was disturbed by the video that he saw of Kelly, and he says it hurt him. Mark seems pretty emotional. He is trying to tear up, but the tears don't seem to flow. He tells Kelly that he connected with a model from Los Angles, Debbie. He says that he did not have sex with Debbie and that he was thinking of Kelly the whole time. He says that he wants to be with Kelly. Kelly tries to force some tears, but her eyes remain dry.

Next, it is Kelly's turn. Kelly says that she made out with Tom, but that she freaked out and started thinking of Mark. She says that she had to remind herself that she was on the island to be single. Kelly says that she made an "amazing connection" with Ali. Kelly's eyes start to tear up as she says, "I did not sleep with him, but I let him treat me like a lady." She says that she realizes that she has been settling with Mark and that she has needs and wants that are not being fulfilled. She does not want to put her needs aside any longer to be with Mark. Mark gets up and walks away.

Shannon & John
Mark, the host, confronts Shannon about the notes that she has been trying to sneak to John, and he says, "Those notes never got through."

Shannon says that she made a lot of friends on the island, but she says that the island experience has been very difficult for her. John sheds a tear as he listens to Shannon's pain. She says that she connected with Kevin, but that she realizes that she has been taking John for granted. She says that she is sorry that she has not been cherishing John and that she wants to turn over a new leaf. Shannon vows to love John more in the future, if he feels the same.

John says that he got close to Nayla and that Nayla and Shannon are very much alike. But, he pulls out a letter that Shannon wrote to him before they arrived on the island. He says that he read that letter every day and that this letter helped him never loose his focus from Shannon. Then, they both hug and they both say, "I love you so much!"

Catherine & Edmundo
Edmundo goes first. He says that he connected with two women on the island, first Hillary and then Linda. Then, he dances around a lot, and it is hard to follow his confusing rhetoric. He says that he would find it difficult to turn his back on his island experience and he seems to imply that he wants to pursue a relationship with Linda. Then, he says that he would be willing to give their relationship (Catherine & Edmundo's relationship) a chance. And he says, "My final decision is to work things out with you, but keep in mind that... you might not want me to explore this other situation." So, he seems to be saying that if Catherine wants to stay with him that she will have to put up with his exploration of Linda. Are you confused? So is Edmundo.

Catherine says that she was devastated by Edmundo's videos and that she was angry, hurt and sad. Then, she says that she did not sleep with anyone, however, three men made her feel appreciated, a feeling that she has not had in a long time. She says that Edmundo takes her for granted and that she knows now that she can live without him, if she wants too. However, she does not want to be without Edmundo. She loves him, and she wants to be with him. After a bit of silence, she reaches for his hand, and they hug.

Edmundo asks Catherine in so many words, "You are willing to put this island experience behind us and not hold what I did here against me?" She says, "Yes."

Nikkole & Tommy
Tommy is asked to go first. He does not want to, but Mark says that he has to go first. Tommy says that he really did not connect with anyone on the island. He admits kissing a few girls, but he says that it was innocent. Then, he accuses Nikkole of getting physical with Tommy (New York). When he saw Tommy on top of Nikkole "tonguing her down," he was very disturbed. He says, "I have some concerns about your relationship with Tommy." Then, he says that even though she is a great person, he has doubts about whether they bring out the best in each other. And, even though he does not want to break up on national TV, he feels it would be in their best interest to spend some time apart. Tommy says that he does not want to hold Nikkole back. Nikkole sheds a tear.

Nikkole wipes the tears from her face and says that she is sorry that she was giving Tommy ultimatums about getting married. But she goes on to say that her relationship with Tommy (New York) opened her eyes to the fact that she desires to be cherished, cared for and appreciated. But, she says, "I love you, Tommy, with all of my heart.... However, we are just not good together."

After they said their piece, the camera follows them as they argue, talking about what they saw each other doing. Tommy says, "Nothing happened." Tommy says, "You hooked up with a dude, and you are going to have to tell me about that." Nikkole says, "I don't have to tell you about anything."

Conclusion
Catherine & Edmundo continued to talk into the night. At the end of the night, they decided to end their three-year relationship.
Upon returning to Tampa, Florida, Kelly moved out of Mark's house.
Upon returning home, Shannon & John sequestered themselves in Shannon's house for five days of passion. John moved in with Shannon a few days later.
Nikkole moved to Los Angles, but two months later, she moved back to Chicago and is living with Tommy. She claims that they are no longer a couple.
